Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Jim Montgomery paid a special visit to Specsavers in Castle Mall shopping centre to present Davin Quinn and the Specsavers team with a unique ‘services to the community’ certificate.
Specsavers was one of several retail outlets recognised for their contribution to the local community in the Antrim and Newtownabbey area in recent months during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Jim Montgomery said: ‘It was a privilege to visit the staff at Antrim Specsavers and present them with a certificate in recognition of their hard work and the essential service they continued to provide to the citizens of our Borough during the pandemic. While many businesses were forced to pull their shutters down for several months, we are grateful that services such as Specsavers were able to remain open and support the people in our community who needed urgent or essential eye care.’
